I self identify as a ‘geek’, in the modern sense of the word: “One who is perceived to be overly obsessed with one or more things including those of intellectuality”, but also the former meaning of: “A carnival performer often billed as a wild man whose act usually includes biting the head off a live chicken, bat, snake or bugs.”

I, Muhammad Talha Sami, am a student of A levels second years and have developed a strong passion of writing for science. This passion has led me to found one of Pakistan's only science community-Plasma (www.plasmascience.co.nr) where I also serve as the executive editor.

I am a joint PhD & MBA student studying reproductive biology at Edinburgh University. I’m interested in science communication and broadcasting. I love food, 80s rock and old Nintendo games.

I did a PhD at the MRC Human Genetics Unit, then I worked as a Presenter for the University of Edinburgh's outreach programme, SCI-FUN, and I am currently working in schools.

Gwen Wathne

Currently finishing a PhD at the Roslin Institute. Being a member of EUSci has allowed me everything from writing, to editing, to layout, and I have enjoyed being involved with the different stages of magazine production
